In 2022 I began my Art Therapy training through the Kairos Institute (Center for Anthroposophy, NH). I have been working with case studies since the 2022 under supervision, and currently offer therapeutic painting to children and adults for a reduced rate while completing my last year of training.
My education and experience is deeply rooted in trauma work and spans over a vast range of chronic and acute conditions and pathologies, including depression, anxiety, grief, eating disorders, abuse, autism, and more.

Anthroposophic Art Therapy is a holistic, therapeutic approach rooted in the spiritual-scientific philosophy of Anthroposophy, developed by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th century. This therapy integrates visual arts—such as painting, drawing, sculpting, and modeling—with a focus on stimulating self-healing and personal development. It views the human being as a unity of body, soul, and spirit, and seeks to restore balance across these dimensions.
In anthroposophic art therapy, the creative process is more important than the final artwork. The therapist guides individuals through artistic exercises tailored to their unique emotional, psychological, or physical conditions. The choice of colors, forms, and techniques is intentional and can have specific therapeutic effects.
Therapeutic art is applied in diverse settings, from hospitals and rehabilitation centers to schools and private practices, supporting people with chronic illnesses, developmental disorders, trauma, or those simply seeking personal growth.
At its core, anthroposophic art therapy aims to awaken the individual’s inner creative forces, fostering a sense of harmony, resilience, and well-being.

Anthroposophic Therapeutic Arts supports people of all ages to find ways of dealing with life’s challenges. They are complementary art therapies based on the understanding of the human being of body soul and spirit.
Artistic activity expands our awareness, helps us to discover new directions, and connect with our inner resources.
With children, I primarily use watercolour painting. At times I may introduce clay for specific work.
For sessions with adults, the main mediums are charcoal and watercolour. On occastion, clay and pastels may be used as well.
One cycle of therapeutic painting is between 9-12 sessions, at least once a week. It's imperative to the process that the person coming for treatment is able to attend the full cycle of sessions.
Individual sessions may vary in length depending on the process needed that day. Typically they last between 30-60 minutes.
While I am completing my training and working under supervision, my sessions are offered at a reduced rate of $60 per session.
Therapeutic sessions can be booked directly with Berit.
There are daytime availabilities as well as some evenings and weekends.
Sessions are currently offered at two London locations: The London Waldorf School, near Western University, and my home studio in the north-west end of town. For individuals with mobility challenges or in crisis, homevisits may be arranged at an additional cost.
